In May 2019, we proudly announced our partnership with the Jamaica-UK Rugby 7s team, the very first Caribbean rugby team to qualify for the Olympics!
Having won the Middlesex 7s, narrowly missing out at the Bournemouth 7s and then rediscovering their winning touch at the Richmond Sevens Summer Social, the UK Reggae Crocs are now on their final UK game on June 22nd at the Olney 7s in Milton Keynes.
So, ahead of the qualifiers in the Cayman Islands, Tropical Sun is creating a giant good luck card using messages from fans of Team Jamaica. To feature on the card and to be automatically entered a prize draw to win one of three EXCLUSIVE Jamaica 7s UK Tour Shirts as well as a Tropical Sun goody bag, post your well-wishes onto your socials and tag @TropicalSunFoods or use the hashtag #TryTropicalSun. We also have goody bags for 2 runner-ups. And remember to get creative as our panel will select the best images to win.
Entry closes Sunday June 16th. T&Cs apply.
Hungry for success
Of the partnership with Tropical Sun, Team Manager Hughton Campbell said: “As a mostly self-funded team, we’re incredibly happy that Tropical Sun have stepped in to support the Jamaica-UK Rugby Sevens, not only with vital funding, but with access to their foods and drinks for fantastic nutrition.”
So, to further help boost their chances, Tropical Sun have created a special set of recipes to aid recovery and performance during and after games. We’ve used products from our ‘Made In Jamaica’ range to create a Croc breakfast (Crocfast). This features our hand-picked ackees, which also happens to be the national fruit of Jamaica. Research shows that ackee is a super-food packed with a range of essential vitamins and nutrients that contributes towards boosting protein power, stamina and bone strength.
To accompany this dish, we’ve also created a Croctail (a non-alcoholic cocktail) that uses our 100% Natural Coconut Water to design a naturally refreshing drink that rehydrates and replenishes energy as a post-work out beverage.
If your game, why not have a go at making either the Croctail or Crocfast yourself. To kick tiredness into touch, checkout our short cookery videos.
