Coconut Vinegar - 100% Natural & Raw

Regular price £2.99 Sale price

Our Coconut Vinegar is raw and fermented naturally.

Coconut trees are typically grown in extremely nutrient-rich soil and because of that, the “sap” that’s produced from tapping the coconut blossoms is packed with good stuff from amino acids to vitamins B and C, fibre, and naturally occurring FOS (a prebiotic for digestive health).

Unlike malt vinegar it is completely gluten free and can be used in place of regular vinegar for your dressings, marinades and sauces.

Coconut vinegar is a staple in Southeast Asian and Indian cuisine that is rapidly gaining popularity in the West.

It’s made from the sap of the flowers of coconut trees. This sap ferments for 8–12 months, naturally turning into vinegar.

Coconut vinegar has a cloudy, white appearance and a slightly milder taste than apple cider vinegar. It can add a touch of sweetness to salad dressings, marinades, soups and warm dishes.

It is claimed to offer a range of health benefits, including weight loss, improved digestion, a stronger immune system and a healthier heart.

What Are the Benefits of Coconut Vinegar?

- Contains Amino Acids

- Low on the Glycemic Index

- Rich in Minerals

Coconut vinegar has antibacterial and antimicrobial properties, which helps fight illness and infection and there’s evidence that it may contain antioxidant compounds.

Some say that coconut vinegar helps to stabilise blood sugar levels after a carb binge. Some studies also indicate that the higher the acetic acid in vinegar, the greater the positive effects on blood sugars.

Top tip: at our place we add a tablespoon to some mustard and mix in with half an avocado for a rich, creamy salad dressing.  Although, you can take it just like ACV - mix a tablespoon into a glass of water and add a drop of raw honey for a healthy, healing tonic.
