On the evening of 4th November, something special began at the London Eye. Not a race. Not a spectacle. But a mission.
Five young Tamil men - Mathujan, Vinushan, Sivakaran, Vikaash, Anesh - set out on foot towards the Eiffel Tower, taking on an extraordinary relay challenge. Each runner covered over 120km, collectively pushing through more than 600km in under 48 hours. No hotels. No formal training camps. Just belief, purpose, and a deep desire to give back to their homeland.

And what started as an idea quickly became something far bigger than anyone imagined.
As they put it themselves:
“We’re not professional athletes.
We’re just five Tamils showing what happens when purpose, belief, and community come together.”
Every step taken between London and Paris carried meaning-raising funds for schools, hospitals, elderly care homes, and communities across Jaffna, Trincomalee, and Batticaloa.
And the response?
Nothing short of incredible.
By the time they reached Paris, they had raised over £30,000.
Support poured in from everywhere:
Donations from across the UK and beyond
Shares, reposts, and messages of encouragement
A community rallying behind a shared purpose
From live tracking the journey in real time to tuning into livestreams, people didn’t just watch - they became part of it.
Because this was never just five runners.
As their mission statement said:
“This isn’t the end.
This is the beginning of something that will inspire generations.”
And they’re right.
Because this journey has already done more than raise money - it’s raised a standard. A reminder of what’s possible when people move together with purpose.
