What do a slinky, microwave and ice cream float all have in common? They were all accidental inventions!
Legend has it that the ice cream float came to realisation on a hot day in Philadelphia, USA in 1874, when vendor Robert McCay Green ran out of ice for the root beer he was selling, substituting it with vanilla ice cream, much to the delight of his customers 😍.
2 scoops of vanilla ice cream
1 can of Tropical Sun Root Beer
- Add ice cream to a large glass and pour in the root beer slowly over the ice cream. Be careful as it will foam up quickly!
